Hi Everyone!
Over at Just Add Ink this week they are having a challenge with a difference. It's a Fancy Folds Blog Hop Challenge. Each of the DT members are showing a different fancy fold card plus a link to the tutorial on how to make it. You then choose a fancy fold that you like, create it and link it up to the challenge site. How fun!!!
I was inspired to creat a side step card like Bronwyn's.
a side view -
As this card is for a work colleague who is retiring at the end of the month, and everyone will need to sign it, I've changed the dimensions to make it a bit bigger.
I've watercoloured the main image with ink pads and an aquapen. The bird has been stamped in Early Espresso ink and then using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I've stamped again in versamark. I then clear heat embossed it and popped it up on dimensionals. His eye is a little pearl that has been coloured with a black Stamp' Write marker. I've also added Dazzling Dialmonds to the centers of the flowers with a versamark pen and heat and stick powder.
I'm really happy with how it turned it and hope it has that WOW! effect :) I'm hoping to get a chance to make some of the other fancy fold cards soon too.

The Sweet Stop #88.........
Since I had a little spare time yesterday morning, I thought it would be a good chance to "start the year how you would like it to continue" .... so, I started stamping LOL
I decided to play along a sketch from The Sweet Stop.
Here's the sketch -
and the inside too -
The photo really doesn't do this card justice. The very vanilla cardstock has been sprayed with champagne glimmer mist and I've painted a little bit on each of the flowers too. It looks really pretty in real life.
Tomorrow this is off to a very sweet blogging friend. I hope she likes it :)
Thanks for stopping by!

SSS83 Sketch with a spin.....
The other day I came across another challenge site and thought the sketch would be perfect to showcase some of the new items in the upcoming new summer mini catalogue.
This week The Sweet Stop sketch challenge has added another spin "To enter you must follow the sketch AND add the spin. This week's spin is very easy. Since we are all about decorating this time of year, we want you to decorate the inside of your card, too."
Here's the sketch -

Can you spy the new products????
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
