Bee-utiful Ba-Bee Boy and some blog candy too :)

Hi Everyone!

I know it's been ages since I last posted but life has just been super crazy lately. To apologise for my absence, I thought I might offer a little blog candy to one lucky commenter so be sure to read all the way to the end of this post :)

Today I have something a little different to share with you all. I've done a scrapbook page for The Stamp Spot's June Spot Challenge

I actually started off as a scrapbooker but I haven't actually done a layout for a year or two now. I had so much fun getting back into it and I {LOVE} how this page turned out!

To make this cute little bumble bee, I cut a small circle for his head and an oval for his body using my Spellbinders dies. I then adhered some pieces of thin black grosgrain ribbon onto his body and drew a smiley face onto the circle. His antenna is actually a heart shaped paper clip. I've just pulled the curly bits apart and then adhered it to the back of his head. Super cute, hey? That gorgeous crocheted flower was a gift from the wonderful Patrice. Thanks Patrice! :) I added a button to it and tied it up with some twine.

The journalling tag and train ticket are from Pretty Little Studios.

I don't know how or why it started it, but I always put the child's initial that I'm doing the LO for somewhere on the page. That's why there's also an "r" (for Rhys)  die cut there as well :)

So... onto the blog candy :)  To be in the draw, all you have to do is comment on this post. I'd love to hear any little quirky things that you "have to do" when paper crafting. If you're also a follower of my blog you'll get 2 entries (just let me know in your comment that you're a follower). I'm not sure what the candy will be yet, but I'm sure you'll like it :) I'll draw the winner next Sunday,10th June so be sure to check back then.

Hi Sandra,
You're layout is simply divine!! I love the colours, your little bumble bee and the embellishments. I dont have anything that I HAVE to do on a page. I do like making straight lines, and struggle with things that aren't even, or even worse unbalanced.....
I've been a follower for a while now :)
thanks for sharing!

Such a cute scrapbook page. I started with scrapbooking, too, but now I'm hopelessly into card making. Your post just may have given me the push I need to get going on it again. Thanks! (I'm a follower.)

What a gorgeous page Sandra! Love everything about it, the layout, the colours, but especially, the beautiful photo! I normally have to pull out my sponges for my projects, in one form or another! I am also and avid follower ♥

Love your layout page. The colors and all the little details make it so special. I always have to put a heart on all my cards. It may be on the back, or the way I dot an "i", somewhere on the card there's a heart. That's my qwirky thing. I'm also a follower.

My idea of scrapbooking??? Adding as many pics to the page as I can ... and attaching a few accents to highlight! I am such an amateur scrapper! But ... this page has inspired me to get out my scrap book and have another go! Sigh ... if only I had the time! Hugs xxx

I think I first saw this little beauty pop up in my dashboard during Convention weekend. Cannot believe it's taken me so long to come back and leave a comment...

Such a beautiful page. Love your colour choices, love that divine pic and all your special little touches. So glad you found a use for your crochet flower.
