With Love and a Mini Envelope Tutorial........

Hi Everyone!

I needed to make a card for my youngest son's, little girl friend who is turning 4 on Valentines Day. I thought it would be nice for her birthday card to have a Valentines feel to it. I've seen quite a few cards in blog land that have the envelopes with hearts coming out of it but thought I'd put my own spin on it.

Here's the Just Add Ink #101 sketch that I used-

I don't have the Scallop Envelope die so I made a mini envelope using the Scallop Square Die. I also put together a quick mini tutorial on how I did it-

The blue dotted lines are score lines and the red solid lines are cut lines.

This is what it should like once it's scored and cut.

Place a small piece of adhesive in the corner of one flap so that when you fold them in, it adheres together as in above picture.

Place adhesive on the side edges of bottom flap and fold over.
Finished envelope measures 6.5cm's square closed over 6.5 x 10cm's open.

I'm also entering this card into Unstampabelles Challenges #7 - anything goes (there's no stamps on this one) and Shirley's Valentine Blog Hop #1  (well, it is a Valentines birthday card LOL :)

I love reading your comments! And remember, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you use my mini envelope tutorial, please let me know so I can come and have a look!
