Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day!

I haven't really been in a card making mood lately due to having two deaths in our family in just eight days :( It's been really hard, but a good friend once told me that stamping is good therapy so I thought I'd play along with a few challenges today.

This is my first time playing along with Freshly Made Sketches. The idea behind this challenge site is to keep your interpretation of the sketch CLEAN. Not Clean and Simple...just CLEAN! I think these challenges are perfect for my style of stamping! :)

Here's what I came up with -

and in the spirit of World Card Making Day, I thought I'd show you the inside too

A friend is having a Halloween fancy dress theme birthday party the week before Halloween. I thought it might be fun to give her a Halloween birthday card using my new Little Boo stamp (isn't he just the cutest little ghost ever??!) and the Frightful Sight DSP. I really like how the ghost tag looks a bit like a headstone.

I heat embossed the Little Boo stamp with black embossing powder before colouring in the Jack-O-Lantern and 'Boo" with my Stampin Write markers. So, I thought I'd enter this card in the Pals Paper Arts heat embossing challenge as well.

And I'm also entering this into Shirley's Monday Monster Mash Blog Hop Week 7

As always, I love reading your comments! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Supplies- (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamp - Little Boo, Party This way
DSP - Frightful Sight
Card Stock - Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Other - Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, Scallop Circle punch, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers, snail
