Pocket full of Sunshine

Hi Everyone!

I've got another card to post today, so be sure to check that out as well :)

This week the Just Add Ink team have a beautiful inspiration challenge.

Doesn't that picture have you dreaming of a romantic holiday in the Greek Islands?

A work colleague asked me to make a card for her daughter's birthday this week. She really wanted a Pocket Full of Sunshine card. While making this card I kept thinking of the movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants so as soon as I seen this weeks JAI challenge, I just knew it would be perfect for it. Remember when one of the girls spends time in Greece and that beautiful, crystal clear, blue water? Which brings me to my card :)

The background paper was a scrap piece I had left over in my stash. Isn't it just perfect for that denim jeans look? I've machine stitched it and added some vintage brads to give the look of a jean pocket. The Kaisercraft flower has been stamped with versamark onto Daffodil Delight card and then clear embossed. I stamped and clear embossed it onto Chocolate Chip card as well. After fussing cutting and colouring the smaller petals with Pumpkin Pie and Peach Parfait and my blender pen, I added dimesionals to make three layers. The Petal Pizzazz leaves have been stamped with versamark and clear embossed as well. The sentiment was printed on Whisper White card stock using my computer. I
flagged the ends using the corner of my square punch and then popped it up on dimensionals.

I'm also entering this card into a 'new to me' challenge Crafty Sentiments - Use Stitching.
What do you think? Do you think she'll like it? As always, I love reading your comments and if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask!
